Apple replaces crond with launchd.

The launch of the latest release of Apple OS X (Tiger) has a lot more of interest to the techie mind that just more fancy GUI features. For those who havent seen/used or even heard of Mac OS, itd based on UNIX. However, in this particular release, Apple decided replace the age-old scheduler daemon (crond) with its very own unique launchd. This move is quite significant in many ways. Curious?
