Greasemonkey and Firefox.

Yesterday, i posted about customizing google and that this was particularly for firefox users.

I spent sometime today, exploring the greasemonkey plugin that makes this possible. Aparently this plugin injects DHTML into webpages with a view to enhance their functionality, with customizegoogle being one example. There's a whole repository of such scripts.

The greasemonkey scripts got me a bit curious and i decided to dig around. The first stop was the Writing User Scripts page. There i also got a link to the an entire book on the topic called Diving into GreaseMonkey.

Looks good - and quite easy. Something that anyone with basic programming knowledge could do. Give it a shot!
